“Stories & Songs from Old Ireland" -- a peak into and experience of rural life in Ireland in the early 20th century. These were stories told to me by my great-Aunt Ellen Quinn (1898-1996), who lived to be 97, and her son, Joe Quinn, who is now 97 himself, a living encyclopedia on life in the west of Ireland back in the day. Along with some of the beautiful Irish songs, it makes for an enriching visit back to the old times on the old sod. The stories are quirky, humorous, & poignant and give us an idea, through the Arts, of the world our own Irish ancestors came from.
