Songs and Stories of Old Ireland with Gerry Dignan

“Stories & Songs from Old Ireland" -- a peek into rural life in Ireland in the early 20th century. These stories were told to me by my great-Aunt Ellen Quinn (1898-1996), who lived to be 97, and her son, Joe, who is now 97 himself, a living encyclopedia on life in the west of Ireland back in the day. Along with some of the beautiful Irish songs, it makes for an enriching visit back to the old times on the old sod. The stories are quirky, humorous, & poignant and give us an idea, through the Arts, of the world of our own Irish ancestors.
